TBikini Campaign

Think Bike is a registered NPO - NPO 048144

Think Bike holds an annual Bikini Bike Wash.  This is done to raise funds for our Education Campaign where we go to schools and teach children about road safety and create awareness of bikers and cyclists who share the roads on a daily basis.

This year we have been approached by our own Lady Bikers - “Chickens” - who have shown an interest in being part of this experience and who would like to assist in raising money for the Think Bike Campaign.

The idea is to have 14 “contestants” have their photos taken with the official Think Bike logo featuring in each photo, and give the public the opportunity to vote for their favourite Biker Chicken.  We will allocate a voting registration number to each Chicken in order to track the readers’ votes for their favourite Think Bike Chicken.

Each vote allocated via EFT will donate an amount of R5.00 minimum to the Think Bike Campaign, and thus their associated causes and charities. We intend for the “competition” to take place over a three month period with the first online publication going live on the 1st of December 2009. This will provide the details of the competition as well as the initial introduction (via pictorial and write-up) of the Chickens to the readers, and thereafter publish the scores on a regular basis, together with details as to the current “standings” of the Chickens on the website.

The above would culminate in a “final” event at Sun City, the biggest sponsor of this initiative (which might be you) will announce the winner of the competition, as well as the amount that was raised during the campaign.

The amount the 14 Ladies are hoping to achieve is R 100,000.00. The readers can also have the opportunity to meet the Chicken/s they voted for.  Simultaneously, the Bikini Bike Wash “Strut your Stuff Photo” competition on the day of the final event will take place to raise more funds and keep the crowd entertained. There will be loads of activities and entertainment available on the day to attract the crowds.

The main aim is to take Ordinary Biker Ladies who would like to use what their Mamas gave them to raise funds to create awareness and hopefully save lives.
